Our September Cheese of the Month is an aged cashew cheese that has been injected with Tasmanian single malt whisky, hand rubbed with more whisky and then vacuum packed to allow all the flavours to meld together. We have chosen a locally distilled whisky that has been matured in French oak casks that previously held apera (Australian style sherry).
Whisky and cheese are a classic pairing and we can see why - the flavours are beautifully complementary.
Ingredients: Cashews, filtered water, organic refined coconut oil, Tasmanian sea salt, Tasmanian single malt whisky, probiotic cultures.
